An arm lift, scientifically ‘brachioplasty,’ is a cosmetic procedure that involves the reshaping of the lower portion of the upper arm. As people age, gain or lose weight, it is possible that the skin in this area may sag, which may be viewed as unsightly to certain individuals.
Depending on the amount of excess skin, incisions will be relatively small and may even be performed so that the skin is sutured internally. Typically, the results of this surgery are long lasting, given that the patient remains in shape and does not lose or gain a large amount of weight that may stretch or cause the skin to sag again.
